Nairobi, November 12th, 2024… Christmas delights arrived early for thousands of residents in the Rift Valley, courtesy of Safaricom Sambaza Furaha campaign.
The festive caravan tour kicked off yesterday in Narok, traversing through Mulot, Longisa, Bomet Town, Silibwet, and Kaplong, spreading festive delights, Safaricom offers while bringing Safaricom care services closer to customers. The tour delighted customers with gifts such as live goats, chickens, food hampers, airtime, and more.
Today, it continues along the route from Kapkateit to Litein, Ngoina Road, Kabianga, Sosiot, Kapsoit, and Kericho.
Speaking at the Silibwet market, Mr. Samuel Kirubi, Safaricom’s Regional Business Lead for the Rift Valley Region, expressed his excitement about the campaign saying, “This is our way of thanking our customers for their trust and loyalty over the past 24 years. We want to celebrate this festive season with them and bring joy to their lives across the country. Throughout this tour, customers can look forward to lots of Christmas delights and the assurance that we’re bringing our services closer to them,” he said.
One resident of Bomet, long-time Safaricom customer, Tecla Chemng’eno, shared her excitement after receiving her bundle of delight. “I have been a Safaricom customer for eight years, and I am thrilled that they come to celebrate and spread Christmas cheers with us here in Mashinani. I didn’t expect to receive a chicken today, but it feels like Christmas has come early. I will be celebrating this special gift with my family,” she said.
Beyond spreading holiday cheer, Safaricom is engaging in various community activities during the Sambaza Furaha caravan. These include digital skills workshops for the youth courtesy of S-Hook, dealer engagements in Kericho as well as free medical camps in Kericho. New franchise shops will also be launched in Mososriot and Molo, furthering Safaricom’s mission to make its services accessible and impactful at the community level.
The Sambaza Furaha caravan will continue touring the region over the coming days, with planned stops as follows:

· Thursday: Kipsitet-Nandi Hills-Namgoi-Kapsabet-Chepterit-Mosoriot-Kapseret-Eldoret
· Friday: Langas-Chepkoilel Junction-Ziwa-Soi-Maili Tisa-Maili Nne
· Saturday: Iten-Kabarnet-Marigat-Emining-Mogotio-Kambi Ya Moto-Nakuru
· Sunday: Mauche-Naswet-Olenguruoni-Keringet-Salgaa-Nakuru
